and Chinese architecture. Built by Maharaja Udai Singh, the complex has 11 beautiful Mahals with balconies and towers, offering a breathtaking view of the lake and the city. The Palace also houses a museum exhibiting a rich collection of artifacts.

Jagdish Temple, the largest and most beautiful temple in Udaipur, was built by Maharana Jagat Singh in 1651 AD. The temple is said to be a fine example of Indo-Aryan architectural style, and is dedicated to lord Vishnu.
Gulab Bagh, also known as Sajjan Niwas garden is the largest garden in Rajasthan, near Pichhola Lake and was built by Maharaja Sajjan Singh in 1850s. Enclosed within the complex is the Victoria Hall Museum, known for its collection of curios, antiques, royal relics and royal items. There is also a mini zoo, where kids can enjoy watching the bear and tiger apart from numerous birds. A small train runs through the zoo.
Lake Pichola, an artificial lake is one of the most popular attractions of Udaipur. Constructed by Maharana Udai Singh II, the lake is 4 km long and 3 km wide, enclosing the Jag Niwas Island and the Jag Mandir. One of the most scenic spots of Udaipur, Lake Pichola also houses the City Palace on its eastern banks.
Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal or the Udaipur Folk Museum, near the Chetak Circle, is a unique museum, having a collection of a wide array of folk outfits, curios, puppets, masks, dolls, musical instruments and beautiful paintings. |
